11.16.55am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 20th Sep 2008

Catherine attended a packed meeting of councillors and activists in Winchester on Saturday. On the Agenda were policy issues affecting old people, bus users, householders and school children across Hampshire.

Catherine spoke about plans for the European and county council elections next year and met councillors and those who may be thinking of becoming councillors.

"It was a busy meeting with lots of energy and enthusiasm" said Catherine, "they are obviously in very good spirits in Hampshire and planning on a whole sweep of good election results next year"
