Lib Dem MEP Sharon Bowles has proffered her support for a 'green revolution' across the South East after visiting Actio2n Woking's new Low Carbon Advice Centre.
Actio2n Woking, which has plans to build a low carbon community in Woking, took Sharon and Rosie Sharpley, Woking's Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate, on a tour of Oak Tree House, a demonstration home showcasing all the latest low carbon technology.
Sharon Bowles said:
"Actio2n Woking's Low Carbon Advice Centre offers clean and cost-effective alternatives to the environmentally unfriendly norms of day-to-day living.
"Looking around Oak Tree House, I was struck by the scale of what can be done. Everything from the wall insulation to the pillow cases were low carbon.
"I think Actio2n Woking's project is brilliant, a beacon of energy-efficient light that I hope will lead the way for low carbon homes across the South East and beyond."
Oak Tree House is open to the public. Tours can be booked on 0800 783 2503 or by visiting the Actio2n Woking advice centre located at 26a Commercial Way, Woking GU21 6EN
