    The Liberal Democrats have gained strong cross-party support behind their bid to amend the EU Withdrawal Bill at Report Stage. The amendment will be debated in the house tomorrow.

    It's vital that MPs are fully briefed on the impact of Brexit on British jobs and families before any meaningful vote on the deal.

    Christmas and the New Year are already dim and distant memories. Parliament is back in full swing and Brexit Bills again dominate the parliamentary timetable.

    The customs and trade bills this week will be followed by the report stage of the EU (Withdrawal) bill next week.

    The Liberal Democrats opposed both these Bills.

    Patients are dying in hospital corridors because of NHS underfunding, a group of A&E doctors has warned in a letter to Theresa May.

    In their unprecedented warning, the doctors told the prime minister that more than 120 patients a day were being managed in corridors in some hospitals, with "some dying prematurely" because staff were so busy.
