Bearder gets a grilling from Law Students

August 5, 2010 3:20 PM

Catherine Bearder was invited to speak to a European Law class this week and ended up facing some tough questions!

The students, from the US but visiting Oxford to study for a term had been studying European Law for the last eight weeks and invited their local MEP to speak at their last session.

Catherine said, 'It was great to speak to these students, hear about what they had been studying, and discuss how they view European law, politics and culture.'

'It was particularly interesting to hear how they viewed the European Union from an American standpoint'.

'It's always good to talk with engaged groups that are really passionate about a topic and this always leads to brilliant questions, even if they were on the tough side!' she added.
